Rose Care for July & August
In the hot Summer, roses don’t have a lot of issues.
With the hot weather most diseases and insects are no
longer a factor. The main thing is to keep them
watered at least two times per week with a deep soaking.
Mulching will help reduce water use by slowing
evaporation. To keep them blooming, stay on your
fertilizer schedule with either Master Nursery Rose
Food or Dr. Earth Rose & Flower Food.
For organic gardeners, Dr. Earth Rose and Flower Food
is the best thing that I have used for beautiful roses.
Watch for mildew and black spot and treat as needed.
Be glad we don’t live in high humidity areas of the country
where black spot can be devastating.
Last, enjoy all those beautiful summer flowers !!
